EIGHTEENTH-CENTURY NEAPOLITAN CARNIVAL

February 25, 2017 - Palazzo San Teodoro

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,  “Travelers and the City” is very pleased to invite you to Palazzo San Teodoro for what will be the most exciting Neapolitan eighteenth-century carnival ever!
A Grand Ball in costume to fully immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the eighteenth century, the royal court and the era of splendor.
Indeed, the eighteenth century was the century of drawing rooms and Carnival. Carnival represented one of the most experienced feasts by the Neapolitan people.

An exultation of color and sound. Where the narrow alleys were filled with strangers and artists, and great masked balls were organized in the most striking noble residences.
Palazzo San Teodoro effectively represented one of those residences. Its history goes hand in hand with the evolution that the city was undergoing under the thrust of the Bourbons.
An exclusive ceremony for only 500 invitees, from court ladies to knights. A real blast from the past with historical music, eighteenth century costumes, magic and surprises.
