An opportunity to give a smile to less fortunate children

Preparations have begun for the first edition of the "Christmas Wine Fest" in the medieval village of Taurasi (AV), the festival that every weekend from 6 to 22 December, will combine the magic of Christmas to the culinary excellence of the place. There will be many suggestions for this event, from parades in period costumes to fights between feudal knights, from the post office of Santa Claus to the performances of the best local and national artists.

Just a few hours ago we had the news that, on the occasion of the event, will arrive in Taurasi the highest "real" Christmas tree in Italy. The beautiful Greek fir will be set up at the entrance of the old town and will not be just any tree; in addition to its extraordinary height, more than 15 meters, the exceptionality of this fir is what it will represent: the opportunity for any visitor to leave a gift to children who can not receive anything, in collaboration with the Italian Red Cross.

The giant tree will be installed by the historic garden centre SAL.FI. - Flowers & Plants that for years has been sensitive to actions like this. An event, the 'Christmas Wine Fest' which involved some of the main protagonists of the South, such as Marco Ferrigno, Nativity scene artist of San Gregorio Armeno and Christmas icon around the world, which for the occasion will shine the main street of the village of Taurasi with a light installation that will take your breath away, and also national guests of the caliber of Maestro Beppe Vessicchio, who will be present at the Area Talk by MAVV - Wine Art Museum of Portici, to talk about how music positively affects the growth of plants.

In short, a festival not to be missed, organized by the association Travelers in partnership with Visit Italy, the online guide of Italy, and sponsored by the City of Taurasi. Tickets for the Christmas Wine Fest 2019 are available at christmaswinefest.eu
