Naples is always an extraordinary city, but in May much more! So, after the two-year pandemic the city is ready once again to acclaim its immense artistic and cultural heritage. If you are in town, don't miss the May of Monuments 2022 initiatives, but if you are not, what are you waiting? Run to Naples, it's the right time!

May of Monuments returns in 2022

After two years of severe restrictions, the Maggio dei Monumenti 2022 returns fully accessible in presence. This year, the protagonists of the 28th edition of the festival will be the "walls of the city".

In this context, born Muraria (From "Muro", litt. "Wall" in Italian), the street art festival/event promoted by the City of Naples with funding from the Metropolitan City, is presented.

Muraria will therefore take place from 13 May to 12 June, with specific initiatives in each area of the city of Naples.

The idea is to completely overturn and distort the concept of the wall, from a symbol of division to a symbol of union and concurrence. That concept of the May of Monuments 2022 program of events was created, with guided tours, public artworks, underground film screenings, street theatre, and much more.
